Strategic Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established financial services organisation within the insurance sector. Our client is seeking a Management Accountant and Finance Reporting Specialist to join a growing and relatively new finance team.
This role is primarily reporting-focused, with exposure to finance systems and process improvement. It is well suited to a reliable, self-driven finance professional who takes ownership of reporting, is comfortable working independently, and can confidently engage with multiple stakeholders when needed.
The position operates within a structured environment but requires agility, adaptability, and a proactive mindset. The successful candidate will report into the Financial Manager and work closely with investment, shareholder, and board stakeholders
Role Overview
The role focuses on high-quality management reporting, investment and shareholder reporting, board packs, and financial analysis, while also supporting finance systems and driving continuous improvement in reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities

Management Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and manage the monthly finance calendar
- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Compile investment, shareholder, and board reporting packs and presentations
- Prepare cashflow reporting
- Deliver quarterly reporting, including Invesco submissions
- Forecast income statement, balance sheet, and cashflow using Adaptive Insights
- Align balance sheet management accounts to Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
Budgeting & Annual Processes
- Assist with Group Consolidation Reporting (GCR)
- Support budget preparation and ongoing budget reporting
- Prepare financial presentations for boards and committees
Finance Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain and enhance management reporting and reporting libraries
- Design and distribute management information to support decision-making
- Act as Administrator for:
- Adaptive Insights Budgeting Tool
- Accpac Financial System
- Support enhancements and new developments within Adaptive Insights
- Identify and implement reporting and process improvements
- Support ad-hoc finance and system-related projects
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years’ experience in Public Relations, Communications, or Brand Management, ideally in an agency environment.
- Proven people management experience — you know how to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
- Strong project management skills; you’re the steady hand that keeps everything running on track.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills — you can craft a press release, media pitch, or executive statement that lands.
- Confident client-facing presence with a natural ability to manage expectations and influence outcomes.
- Solid understanding of digital PR, influencer engagement, and content strategy.
- Able to work independently in a hybrid or remote setup while maintaining collaboration and momentum.
Qualifications & Experience
- BCom Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
- Background in short-term insurance or financial services advantageous, but not essential
Knowledge
- Strong management accounting and reporting capability
- Good understanding of financial systems and reporting tools
- Experience with internal controls
- Working knowledge of IFRS
